-March 7: Team Italia participates to Canada-Italy Trade and Investment Forum
(the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade invited Italian economic institutions, engaged in Canada, to Ottawa for a forum on Italian-Canadian trade and investments).
-May 15 - 16: Team Italia’s Mission to Charlottetown - Prince Edward Island (PEI). Meetings with PEI Premier Patrick G. Binns, and with PEI and Federal Governments’ Institutions, ACOA (Atlantic Canadian Opportunities Agency), Industry Canada and PEI Business Development. Visits to Companies in Slemon Park industrial, Summerside.
-May 26: Team Italia Social Meeting with the managers and their families.
-July 28: Team Italia Social Meeting (Summer BBQ) with the managers and their families.
-September 1: Team Italia meets The Region Friuli-Venezia Giulia Delegation
-September 11: Round Table on “Industry prospects and development of Company investment” with the participation of The Hon. John Manley, Minister of Industry Canada.
--December 8: General Meeting. New Board was elected.

1999
-March 2 : Team Italia’s meeting with Italy’s Deputy Minister for International Trade Antonello Cabras and the President of Italian Trade Commission Fabrizio Onida.
-June 23 : Team Italia and the ministers of Trade of Italy (Hon. Fassino), Canada (Hon. Marchi) and Ontario (Hon. Palladini) at a round table on investments.
-August 27 : Team Italia’s Mission to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario with visits to Algoma Steel Company , Round Table at City Hall along with over 30 business people, meetings with the Sault Ste. Marie’ s Mayor and Chamber of Commerce.
-December 7: General Meeting and Meeting between Team Italia and Italian Companies of Italian Origin.
(Canadian Companies of Italian Origin are firms which have been founded and /or developed by persons born in Italy and are presently Canadian residents). 35 people attended.
-December 7: Assembly. New Board was elected.

1998
-October 15: Presentation and founding Meeting. Founding Board was elected.
-December 9: Assembly. Ambassador Nigido accepts the honorary presidency . Foundation Board was confirmed.
